cute picture and house update

So, here is a super cute upclose picture of {a}, and one of {A} and {a}. I was trying to catch her looking up at the plant that she was laying under. I had layed her nearby, and she scooted over underneath the plant. And boy, was she fascinated! It was fun to see her expressions. When she noticed me, she gave me the sweetest smile. :) {a} is such a joy to me! {A} was "measuring" her to see how tall she was. He was using hats to see how many hats it takes to measure {a}. He is so sweet with little Miss Mae.

Ok, update on the house... no news!!! It is maddening! We have been waiting since the middle of March, and have been given 3 different "wait until" dates to hope for. Well, now they are saying that they have no idea when they will get to us! I am almost ready to give up! So, in the meantime, we have been looking at other homes and have found a real contender! The only real downfall this new house has is that it's not in our current ward. But, it's in the Stake which means it is still close to nearly everything. It also has a very large back yard, and a super great patio! It's a full basement and has all that we are looking for. It's a bit more than we want to pay, but maybe we can talk them down. :)

Until later...

The SADDEST Easter picture ever...

I absolutely LOVE this picture. I took it before church on Easter Sunday, and while I was arranging the kids on the couch, {K} elbowed {A}--hense the sad face. and {a} just didn't want anyone but Mom. I love it because {A}'s face is just so expressive. :) Have a wonderful weekend.:)

Preschool

we had our final day of preschool this week and we talked about the letter Z. I had the kids make masks of zoo animals. I thought you might like to see the final result. :)

the cutest little deer ever!!

Our dear friends the {T}'s gave us this adorable outfit for {a} for Christmas this year! I have been anxiously awaiting her to grow enough for her to wear it. Well, I think she's finally big enough. Isn't she the cutest???

We're in--Whew!

So, all along we've been planning on moving Sat am, and we have all the help lined out, right? Well, DH gets this wild hair to move on Friday eve. Why you ask? Because he had nothing better to do. Seriously! He had the time, and well, why not? I TRIED to convince him to wait, but no... so, he rounds up some friends to help at the last minute, and off we go! We finally got all done at 10pm, and I run to get dinner for DH and I (the boys thankfully went to a friends house for the eve and were fed there) while DH set up our bed. Now, I must admit with as much complaining I did about DH's great idea to move on Friday-- I am really grateful now. That allowed us all of Sat to get the bunkbeds put together--what a beast! and all the boxes unpacked. And, believe it or not, we're all done! I only have one box in {a}'s room to empty and organize her room a bit, and then I am settled--for a bit atleast!

Oh! That reminds me. So, on Friday we heard from the bank. They were supposed to let us know if they accept our offer on the house or not. Well, after waiting for 6 weeks already, they have informed us that it will be atleast another 5--count them, 5-- more weeks. We are definately losing out patience, quickly! Unfortunately, there isn't another home we like as well as this one, so waiting is the only choise for right now. Thankfully, we're renting my parents duplex and they seem pretty cool about letting us stay as long or as short time as needed. Which I am so grateful for, cuz imagine having to sign a lease--no thank you! :)

Off I go---must prepare preschool for tomorrow. Yes, I have that last week and this week in addition to all the moving madness. :)

{A} the fashion designer...

...strikes again! :) I gave {A} the choice between two different outfits, and he chose to mix and match ending up with this. The shirt is one that I wore when I was a baby, It is bright yellow with embroidery on it, and it is obviously too small for {a}. The pants are pale blue and lime green stripes with purple flowers. Great job, {A}!! :)

Here's the latest change...

...to the sign in our yard. We now have a contract pending sign--that tells all our neighbors that we're moving. :) So, next saturday we're officially moving to a rental for a couple of months. We will *hopefully* be moving into a wonderful home mid summer. But, for now we don't know where that wonderful home will be.... So for now, we're renting 1/2 of my parents duplex and will stay there for a while. It's acually bigger than the house we're in now, so atleast we're not downsizing. :) Off I go to pack more goodies.

I am grieving

I am having a really hard time giving up my house! We are moving in about 10 days, and I am struggling with the idea of it not being our home anymore! I love this house--an especially love all the personal touches we have put into it. We have beautiful flowers out back, I have painted the front room, all my curtains, I am going to miss them all! I feel like I am having to grieve the loss of my home. I sure hope it gets easier and not harder first!

cool dude!

This is one of my favorite ages! I think 2 is so much fun, and here is one reason why! I love that little 2 year olds LOVE LIFE! Today, I was out packing up the laundry room, and found an old pair of sunglasses. I promptly found {K} and put them on him. A few minutes later I found {K}-only he had adjusted the glasses to fit on the outside of his hood, not the inside resting on his ears, as I had put them! If you'll also notice, he is wearing his backpack--just cuz!
{K} loves hats, and hoods. It will be very interesting when the weather warms up enough to see how he handles his love of hoods. My guess is that he'll just wear hats more often!

{K}--asleep

{K} got in trouble the other day, and had to go into time out in his bedroom. He kept fighting me--he wanted the door open, and well, I didn't. I just didn't want to hear him screaming. So, eventually all got quiet in there and when we opened the door, this is what I found. What's really funny to me about this picture, is that I distinctly remember doing the exact same thing! Only, I think I was 5 or 6 when I was put in time out. :)

{a} sees the baby in the mirrow

The other day, DH was holding {a} and she "found" the baby in the mirror. I adsolutely love it when my babies do this! You can absolutely see the joy in her eyes for the is seeing that the baby is smiling back at her.

Grandma {J} "reincarnated!"

So, Brian had a Grandma {J} and when she was living in the nursing home, she would pucker up her lips. Well, {a} seems to have the same trait. Is that not so cute!?!
