Ok, I don't think I can properly express how excited and relieved I am about that statement!! We have had our home on the market exactly 8 days. We have had only 1 showing, and most amazingly, we HAVE AN OFFER!! This market is so scary to get your home sold--even within 6 months, so I am incredibly grateful for this blessing.
We plan to close May 30, and we'll probably move into my parents duplex for a couple of months, and if all goes as planned, we'll get our offer accepted by the bank, for the house we want to buy, and we'll then move into our new home mid summer--just in time for {A} to start kindergarten at Koelsch Elem, the school I went to. :)
Off I go for the day. JaDell

off to Hockey we go...
Well, we are venturing out as a family and going to a hockey game. I love watching hockey--I am only a bit nervous about the noise for {a}. and finding a place to nurse her... but, I have a friend that works in the VIP room, and she told me I can go up there and nurse her, so I think that settles that. {A} has been before, but {K} hasn't, I think they'll have a great time! We taking headphones to try a protect their little ears. :)
Happy Easter to all tomorrow. :)

I must have a very boring life...
...cuz I just don't have something fabulous to talk about everyday on my blog. :) I know of others that have a funny story to share nearly everyday, and well, I don't. So, I must just live a boring life... {sigh}

WE TOOK THE PLUNGE!!
There is a funny sign out front in my yard! I'm hoping that little sign will mean fantastic results with an offer to buy our home! We're going to test the market, see what happens, and hopefully that will allow us to put an offer on the home we have fallen in love with!! ;)
Wish us luck! :) JaDell

BIG news!
Ok, I don't actually have big news, but the card does. :) I made this card last spring when I found out my SIL was expecting their second. I found this prego girl at Michaels and absolutely fell in love with her! She is so cute! I must admit that I didn't think of the idea of using her as the I, but I love that I have the big alpha set to use with this idea.
Details: SU! cs Marvelous Magenta and WW. the alpa set is SU, too. I used Prismacolor watercolor pencils and gamsol to color her in. I am pretty sure I found the ribbon at Michaels when I got the girl. I stamped the girl on SU! watercolor paper-- a must when using watercolor pencils.
DH is home sick today. He has yet another sinus infection! But, we slipped out for the morning and are home for lunch. He has a Dr appt this afternoon, and then I think we'll need to find somewhere else to go while he takes a nap later today. It sure is hard when our DH's are sick, isn't it!!?? I think they are the hardest kids to nurse back to good health, don't you?

Thinking of You

Well kids, I think I ought to post today. It's been a few. Today's post is a virtual card for all those who log on today. I am thinking of you! I am grateful to anyone who is lucky enough to know about this blog. :)
Details: everything on it is SU! The main image is All Natural and I am not sure of the others, but who really cares anyway, right? :)
We had a wonderful time in the "big city", but we have to go back and get some cavities filled. I have a cavity--the first in probably 15 years! :( I think {a} was a bit out of sorts while we were there, she really didn't like all the commotion of Grandma's house. But now that we're back, she seems back to her happy little self. I got some wonderful deals at the Case Goods sale at Stokes Grocery store of which I am grateful we picked that weekend to go-- I finally got mac 'n cheese for 19 cents a box! That is a fantastic price! :) Well, that's all for now--I'll check in again later.

Sewing Machine Grumbles

I am so frustrated with my sewing machine and my serger! I got them both fixed before Christmas and then used the serger to make sheets for {a}'s cradle. Well, the serger broke mid project, so all this time I have been trying to catch up with the fix-it man to have him look at it again. Well, yesterday I was working on another project with my sewing machine and it TOTALLY JAMMED UP!!! I am so mad! So, today I had to drive clear across town--into another town to have him look at them both. He said just stay and I will fix them, well, he took one look at the jammed machine and said that I would have to leave them--it's gonna take a while! Which is good in one sense cuz then I didn't have to stay and wait, but this also means that I have to drive back and pick them up. I am really hoping he can just fix them and not have to get another machine--it's brand new summer 07!!
Then, I went and picked up my SU! goodies from my friend {C} in yet another town. But, I am hoping to steal away into my stamping space and create something wonderful today!
However, I need to pack and finish laundry today too. So, best of luck to me!! :)
This picture of {A} will have to do for today. Don't you just love it when they actually hold still long enough to give you a great smile??
Enjoy!

Getting excited... again
So, we heard this morning that the house we've been drooling over has dropped their asking price by $10,000. This is GOOD! I was settling my thinking into needing to wait another year to buy, but now they've tempted me again! Arrggh! I wish I could just get this house out of my head and move on, but golly, this house is great for us! I am now wanting it more than ever! I really hope that we could find a quick buyer and get an offer into this home! :)
Bye for now.

Doodle This
Baby Shower thank you's!

So, here are two of the thanks you postcards I made for {a}'s baby shower. I wanted something farely simple and quick to make, yet that still shows my talent for making cards. I hope these did the trick. I used all SU! products except for the ribbon. I think I found both at Walmart.
Today, {A} went to preschool. He is getting too smart! I love that he is progressing and is almost ready for Kindergarten! My baby is growing up too fast. We go to registration next week, I can't believe it's that time already!

i like you
Well, it's day 2 and here is another card. This one is a rectangle card. I think it will fit into a legal size envy, but it's definately an odd size. I started with the chicken from Best of Cluck and stamped her on Whisper White cs. I layered that on Close to Cocoa cs and Certainly Celery cs. I stamped the i like you on Close to Cocoa and layered in on Certainly Celery too. The i like you stamp came from Michaels in the $1 bin. I found the pattern paper at my LSS it's from American Crafts and I think the pattern is Wilder. Then I stamped the background from Itty Bitty Backgrounds in Cocoa on Celery and layerd on Cocoa. I don't know where ribbon came from. I bought it from a LSS when I was visiting the in-laws.Enjoy!

In the Wild--zebra

Here is a card I made recently. I love the paper in the background!
I stamped the zebra in Basic Black Classic ink onto Whisper White cs, (I am a huge SU! fan, so most of the cs and ink I use is from them) then I colored in the stripes with Barely Banana marker and distressed the edges with Barely Banana classic ink. I then layered it on Basic Black cs and atteched the ribbon. Then I layered onto the oriental designer paper and again in Basic Black cs and onto a Certainly Celery card base.
Enjoy!
I find I have a really hard time giving such cute cards away--anyone else have that problem, too?
Details: In the Wild-SU!, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, WW cardstock--SU!, ribbon Celery--SU!, black ric rac--Walmart, barely banana marker--SU!, barely banana and basic black Classic ink--SU!, unknown brand of designer paper.
