our new home

Here are a couple picts of our new home. The upstairs living room, the kitchen and the outside view. I think we're getting settled--and well, we better be, since we're having company to sleep over tomorrow! :)

Quick update...

Well, today is Tuesday, and on Wed we sign the papers, Thursday we do our final walk through and Friday at 5pm the home is ours! I am really getting excited, and anxious to have it all done! and, my cousin has asked me to tend her boys one more day a week, which means I really am not going to have to worry too much about money! Yeah! This will make things so much easier, and with me stuck at home, it means I wont be out spending. :)

L-Last Vacation as a couple? well, before the kids came along, we went to Yellowstone, exotic, I know.

N- Number of siblings? 2 sisters & 3 brothers
O-OCD or sloppy? OCD, unfortunately for him, I am not so much. :)
P-Pet Peeves? those who don't follow through. Boise traffic.
Q-Quiet or Loud? more quiet. I know when is is really having a fun time though, he has a wonderful laugh!
R-Restaurant? Panda Express, Red Robin, Sizzler
S-Sports? He enjoys watching college ball, not the pros
U-Unknown Fact about him? He had meningitis the summer after he graduated from high school. He was one sick puppy.
V-Vegetables? not if he can help it.
W-Worst Habit? Not replacing the toilet paper and leaving an empty roll for poor, little ol' me!
X-Xtra Curricular activities in high school? Church ball, skiing, hunting.
Y-Your favorite things about him? He is a kind man, and very spiritual. I love that he loves to tease, and be happy.

FHE

so DH has this great idea to head to the library last night. Yeah, knock me over with a feather, DH wants to go to the LIBRARY??? Impressive. :) So we decide to try the new one by where we live. The Collister branch. So we get over there, get all the kids out, get {a} in her front pack and walk to the door, pull on the handle, and... it's locked.Yup, they're closed on Mondays. So we crawl back in the van, and drive to the second closest branch--Garden City. and, yup, it's closed too! No, we don't have our phones and can't call the main branch to see if they're open. So we drive back home and get a phone to call. Yes! They're open. So we drive all the way downtown and pile out of the van and into the library. I decided to take the boys to the kids section and let DH happily search for a couple of books. When the boys each find 3 books and I find one ( I have been wanting something to read lately and decided that the Narnia series would be a good one... which, by the way, it is. I am half way through the first book already!) and we set off to find DH. Well, {K} is convinced that he needs to carry the too large, too long, overly heavy book bag up the stairs and then down the stairs again. Now, keep in mind that when carrying a bag down stairs it becomes too long and drags on the floor. and none of my suggestions to help are good ideas. {K} wants to carry the bag down by himself. Remember that {K} is just a little-bit and the stairs are already tall enough, let alone adding a too big , too long, too heavy bag to the mix. Needless to say, it was quite the ordeal. :)
But, I must say, I am thrilled that I now have a ton of books to read! I have 7 and 2 on the way from other Libraries! I can't wait.

So, DH wanted to have a treat after the Library, but needless to say, it was too late for treats. Maybe another time. I have been craving Boston Shakes!

I just want to CRY!

I thought for sure that we were buying a home in the Goddard Ward which is still in the same stake. But, I just found out that we're in the Meridian East Stake, the 7th ward. and I could just cry! I know it will be fine, but I am now scared and nervous about ALL NEW things. This includes a new stake and ward and a new building to attend curch at, and a new house and new.... Oh man!

Ok, now I am going to stop crying and focus on the fun new house, and the great new ward, and the wonderful new building to attend church at..... :) Can you tell I'm trying??? :)

We got a house--just not the one I've been dreaming about...

for months now... it's another house that we found and have decided that it will be the home for us--for hoepfully a LONG time!! This moving stuff is for the birds... I hope to get a pict to show you, but for now you can know that we'll be moving the first weekend in June, and will have a home that is more than double our home on Wesley Dr. It's a 5 bd 2 bath home with almost a full basement. The bedrooms are all good sized and the backyard is really big. It doesn't have a sprinkler system, but quite honestly, DH would rather it that way so he can build it the way he wants...

So, for now that's all...

I love simple cards. Along with loving antique looking cards, folk art style cards, busy cards. OK, I love them all! But for today, I love simple cards. This is one I made a while ago, but I love the basic simpleness of it. :) Have a Happy Thursday!
