NieNie Donations needed

As I was surfing, I came across this horrific story about a young couple who were in a plane accident and both are in the hospital in medical-induced coma's and have severe burns all over their bodies. They have 4 young children and are in need of our help and prayers. Please read here for donation info and a regular update. My heart cries out for them and their families. I don't know them personally, but I do know they are LDS and for some reason that makes me more drawn to them and their story.

In other news, DH leaves today for 6 days of hunting/vacation from work, home, family, church... He is so excited he can hardly wait! :) Good luck love~~ slay one for me. :)

I DIDN'T CRY!!!

I am so proud of myself! I didn't cry when I dropped {A} off for Kindergarten today. He was shy, as usual, but he did go in and sit down when Mrs Mary asked him to. I am so pleased with how brave he was! :) This is going to be a GREAT year!

6 more days til...

my BABY goes to school! I am so proud of {A} and all the successes he has had lately, but boy, I am so sad he is old enough to venture off into this scary world called school. We went and met his teacher, Mrs. Mary yesterday for our one-on-one meeting. She is super nice and sweet, and I was so proud of {A}. He was brave and talked to her when she gave him a little quiz. They walked around the room to understand all the different stations, and I loved that he was brave enough to ask her questions when it was his turn.

I am not sure how I feel about this whole education thing. I know it is definately the best for him--he is SO ready to learn! But, I worry that public school is the best choice. I think that maybe I should look into private or charter schools, I just know that they are much more inconvenient, and where I am tending kiddos 3 days a week, that would be too much for me! So, in 6 days, {A} toddles off to Kindergarten! I love you, son, and am so proud of you! I hope I can just keep it together til I make it home--so I can cry in private!! :)

{A}'s swim lessons

So, here are the swim lesson pictures as promised. This is session 1, I have some from session 2, I just can't get them off my camera!! Grrr... He did so well in session 1. His cute teacher was Jordan, and she really helped him progress. His second session, however, was a disaster! There were 11 kids in his class and he had a very new teacher, Charlie. He wasn't very aggressive to help the kids progress very far. I was very dissapointed. Hopefully next year will be better. But, these picts are still cute, and I wanted to share. JaDell (ps the first pict reminds me of Kilgore, how about you?? :) )

these boots are made for walking....

I can't remember if I shared this picture before... in May we went and bought {A} a new pair of boots--he had completely worn out his old pair... and that meant we definately had to get {K} a pair, too. I just think they are so cute standing next to each other. I have been super busy lately, and I can't get my camera to download picts right now, so bare with me--I will get back into the swing of things soon. :)

Butterfly

ok, some times I am so dense! I just now figured out that I can upload multiple pictures at the same time. Yes, I know that all of you have been doing this since the beginning on time, but today, I had a breakthrough! :)
Here are the two cards I made today. Well, I started the first one yesterday, but, I found time to finish it and make the other, too. I love how they turned out. Do you see the detailing with the holes sewed into the cardstock? I see SassyandSweet do it all the time, but this is my first adventure of sewing on cards WITHOUT thread. Cool, huh? Enjoy! The stamp set, and cardstock are SU!, but the watercolor paper and designer paper are not. The ribbon is white organdy, I just colored it with a sponged and pulled it through Soft Sky.

swim lessons, cookies and something fun about our new house

This week, {A} started swim lessons. I have him signed up for 4 weeks, and he is doing great! I am totally amazed at the difference in his confidence level from last year to now! He hesitated for just a minute on the first day this year--but really struggled for a week last year! Yeah for {A}! Pictures to come later on that...

Notice the picts of {a} and {K} eating cookies--who doesn't love a yummy chocolate chip cookie?!?

This is {K}'s new favorite place to play, on the stairs! I think it's so cute--and just a bit nerve-wracking!! :)

isn't this the coolest???

So, I saw this really awesome idea the other day here and thought, "I can make one of those". So, I went online and found my version on ebay. I ordered two and impatiently waited until they arrived. Then I scrounged around and found a TON of pictures that would fit. Next, I started cutting. I am so excited with the final result. I can't wait to hang it up! I love how the boys enjoy looking at all the pictures. :)
Happy Monday! JaDell

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DH!

Last friday, DH and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! I can hardly believe it's been 10 years already! Well, we went out to a great little restaurant on the East end of town and took {a} with us. G'ma and G'pa took the boys overnight. We enjoyed dinner, and {a} was a jewel! I can't believe how well behaved she was. It was enjoyable. I gave DH a card... as seen above, and in it was a bit of money for him to go on a pheasant hunt this fall with his brothers! Then, he suggested we go to the mall and pick out an anniversary band for me!! EEEECCKKK!!! I can't believe it, he really did it! I have been "suggesting" this gift for our 10-year for about 10 years now, and well, he listened. :) It's absolutely bee-utiful, and I will get the whole thing back on Wed. We decided to have my old piece re-rodium plated--that's fancy words for shined up so the new piece will match. I also had them resized to fit just a bit better. So, on Wed I will take a pic and show off my new bling!! :) See Mo, he did it! :) :)
PS, cute card, huh?? :) It was either this or flowers and hearts. ... :)
I want the world to know what an amazing husband I have and how grateful I am that he chose me to be his wife for eternity! I am one lucky girl.

Jump Creek

We went to Jump Creek last weekend and had a wonderful time! It's a bit of a drive out there, but then we have a small "hike" to the waterfall. The boys were so "big" climbing over the rocks and throwing rocks in the water. They loved climbing up the hills. It was so nice! Oh, and don't I have the cutest little family? I love the one of DH and the boys sitting down. :)

sometimes you just gotta get creative

to get the job done right. We are putting in a sprinkler system in our new yard, and after DH tilled up the dirt, we needed to level and flatten the ground again. So, DH found a pallet and hooked it up to our lawn mower and drug it around the yard. Well, the boys wanted a ride, so here is their turn. They had a blast! DH has worked so hard on this yard! He just amazes me sometimes, well, all the time! :)

What an ADORABLE little girl!!

That's what I hear all the time when we're out and about. Well, I think so too. This is where I put {a} when I am getting ready for the day and she wants me to hold her. Works like a charm! She is 5 1/2 mo old in this pic.

I think this will go into...

...the all time favorite cards I have made pile.... What do you think?
